Company introduction

ANECT a.s. is a major supplier of information and communication systems and applications relating to convergent networks (data, voice and video over IP), their services and security. In addition to ever more sophisticated technologies of own communication infrastructures it provides web design services, solutions for Intranet systems, operating environment of information systems including integration of network applications, systems with different communication architecture and, last but not least, integration of multimedia communication. As a systems integrator it is active, in particular, in the public administration sector, commercial and financial institutions and telecommunication operators. It provides professional services from consultation and audits to the design and technical implementation of solutions, project management, development of applications and information security. ANECT also offers complex consultancy services focused on ICT governance and information security risk management.

The company was established in 1993; since the beginning the company has focused on full services in the field of communication systems and the construction of multi-protocol computer networks for medium and large sized companies. In 1996, the original limited liability company was transformed into a joint-stock company. In the same year, the office was opened in Prague, a year later the company subsidiary was established in Slovakia. The company thus covers both Czech and Slovak markets. Since its foundation in 1993, ANECT has grown to current 210 full time employees working in Prague, Brno and Bratislava and a revenue of 29.3 million EUR (863 million CZK). ANECT received ISO/IEC 27001 certification in 2005 as the first company in the Czech Republic.

Key personnel

Ing. Jan Fanta, CISA works with ANECT a.s. in the position of IT Security Consultant responsible for audits, consultancy and project leading of Security related projects. He worked in his professional past as a Service Manager, Project Manager and Security & Quality Manager. He also worked for five years as manager at Deloitte for Audit and Advisory, so he has vast experience in international projects. He also participated at business parts of such projects in and outside Europe. His professional expertise covers banking, utilities, manufacturing and mobile operators. Jan holds the certification of Certified Information System Auditor, specialises in IT Governance and processes.

Ing. Luděk Novák, PhD., CISA, CISSP as Information Security Managing Consultant in ANECT a.s. leads a security expert team focused on information security management system, IT governance, risk management, auditing and security testing, developing new information security products, management of ICT security projects including co-operation with special NATO bodies. Ludìk is Certified Information System Auditor, Certified Information Secuirity Professional and Lead Auditor for Information Security Management System. His expertise covers design, testing and auditing of information security management systems, ICT governance, methodology of evaluation and measurement of information security, development of security systems architectures and policy. Ludìk co-operates with Czech Standards Institute on standards development (mostly information technology security techniques) and is a member of the Czech board of ISACA (Information Systems Audit and Control Association). He has got a Personal Security Clearance Certificate for the level SECRET issued by the National Security Authority.

Involvement/Role in the project

ANECT a.s. is responsible for the dissemination and exploitation of the results of the project MASTER. Furthermore ANECT a.s. is involved in the policy design and in the integration of pilot case studies.
